The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspects linked to the recent attack on a Boys Brigade camping ground in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, which claimed the life of a young camper, Johnson John.
According to the Command, the arrests follow a swift and intelligence-led investigation spearheaded by the Divisional Police Officer of Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang.
The team acted on credible intelligence and digital tracking of the victim’s mobile devices, which led them to Wasa Village in Karshi, where the suspects were apprehended.
The arrested individuals identified as Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu are all residents of the Karshi area. During the operation, police recovered three mobile phones, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased.
The suspects are currently in custody and are expected to be formally charged upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
Commissioner of Police for the FCT, CP Wale Ajao, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to delivering justice, assuring the public of a “thorough and uncompromising investigation.”
He also expressed gratitude to residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the investigation.
The command urged the public to remain calm, law-abiding, and report any suspicious activities to its emergency hotlines – 0803 200 3913, 0802 894 0883, 0705 733 7653 and 08107314192.
