While Shiba Inu’s price lags, bulls are turning the tides to their favor with BONE.
Shibarium’s gas fee token Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) tacked on a 11.1% rally this Monday, bringing the alternative Shiba Inu meme coin to the trending list after a while. This happened just a few days after Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) public Layer-2 blockchain breached 265K in created accounts, a milestone that’s been in the works for nearly two years.
The active crypto addresses on Shibarium topped a new monthly high at almost 20K crypto wallets conducting on-chain operations on April 30, 2025. As Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) alternative token Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) is the official gas fee token of Shibarium, the daily sum spent on gas fees usually correlates with the price movements of the underlying asset.

Being capped at 250 million tokens, BONE is a meme coin with utility on Shibarium, but is not yet available on any of the major centralized crypto platforms (CEXs). After a long bid to get BONE on Binance, SHIB Army’s constant reminders to Binance’s staff and the 700-strong petition on Change.Org only bore fruit in a Binance Next voting, but still no listing was confirmed.
One of the factors could be a relatively low trading volume of below $10 million per day, even though crypto giants like Binance & Bybit tend to list smaller community projects on occasion. On top of that, the low need to speculate on Shiba Inu BONE’s price has kept the meme coin from entering major Derivatives markets.

While the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community, popularly referred to as SHIB Army, is awaiting a decision from the big three of Binance, Bybit & KuCoin, the meme coin can be found in some major exchanges like Crypto.Com, HTX and more.
Based purely on trading volume, Gate.io takes up 13% of BONE crypto trades, while other big crypto industry names like MEXC & OKX take up 9.7% and 6.5% of the market, respectively. At press time, Shibarium’s BONE is switching hands at $0.2995, according to CoinGecko.
Limited supply tokens with considerable utility options & strong community backing tend to outlast hype-based meme coins in the long run.
